Life moves quickly. Kids grow, families change, and somehow another year seems to pass before we know it. That’s why we believe family portraits are about more than having a beautiful photo for the wall. They are about preserving what your family looks and feels like right now.

It’s easy to put family photos off. Maybe you’re waiting until the kids are a little older, everyone’s schedules calm down, you need to get to your ideal weight or all of the other excuses that get in the way of documenting your family annually.

Fall wardrobes photograph beautifully, too. Sweaters, jackets, boots, denim, and layers add texture and personality without needing to overcomplicate things. Coordinating a family can feel much easier when you have those extra options to work with.

And, of course, there’s the timing.
